Back-To-School
As the cost of living continues to rise, many families face financial challenges as they prepare for a new school year. Through our Love Thy Neighbour Back-to-School Initiative, Hillsong Canada and City Care are committed to helping children start the school year with confidence by providing brand-new backpacks filled with essential school supplies.
We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive, and that meeting practical needs is one way we can demonstrate the love of Jesus in our community.
This year, we are partnering with local organizations and serving families from our church, the High Park North neighbourhood, and the wider Toronto community. Registered families are invited to join us for our Back-to-School Family Day on Saturday, August 29, from 1:00–3:00 PM at Hillsong Toronto (1573 Bloor Street West). Along with receiving school supplies, families will enjoy an afternoon of fun, activities, and community.
Family Day Event
Our Back-to-School Family Day is designed especially for families who could use a little extra support this season. Whether you’re stretched thin or simply in need of a helping hand, we want to bless your children with the essentials they need to succeed—because every child deserves to feel confident and ready for the school year ahead.
- Backpack Drive - backpacks filled with school supplies. Please register your child for a backpack so we can prepare it for them.
- Clothing swap with gently used children’s clothing
- Games and fun activities for kids
- Snacks & drinks for the whole family
- A welcoming, joyful atmosphere where families are cared for and supported
If your family needs support this school year, RSVP to the event here so we can prepare for you. Registration is required to receive a backpack with school supplies.
Get Involved
Together, we can help every child begin the school year equipped, encouraged, and reminded that they are loved. Donations can be dropped off at Hillsong Toronto (1573 Bloor Street West) during our 10:00 AM or 12:00 PM Sunday services from July 26 through August 23.
